Mount Lebanon Hospital Balamand University Medical Center (MLH UMC) includes over 800 professionals and more than 250 physicians.
MLH UMC is the official and exclusive medical center of the University of Balamand. It provides a wide range of clinical services with a varied pool of the best clinical caregivers.
With that commitment at heart, Mount Lebanon Hospital Balamand University Medical Center also provides graduate programs through its own School of Nursing to respond to an increasing shortage of Nurses and to mold future generations of distinguished physicians and nurses to better serve our community.
A 200 seat Conference Room, in addition to 3 conference rooms and 4 classrooms, elegantly furnished and equipped with top of the line computerized audio-visuals, is utilized for medical seminars, in-house training, educational sessions, general assemblies and even entertainment events.
MLH UMC provides academic and hands-on training for about 120 physicians and 50 nurses each year.
An ongoing expansion will lift the total number of beds to 440, of which over 50 are exclusively dedicated for Intensive Care (ICU).
MLH UMC has been accredited by the Joint Commission International (JCI) since 2016 and re-accredited in 2019.

Along with its vision to provide innovative and high quality care for all patients and in line with continuous development, Balamand University has been accredited by multiple international agencies for their quality of academic standards in higher education. It has one of the most credible and praised faculty of medicine in Lebanon, with more than a hundred MD graduates yearly. The residency training program comprises more than 200 residents, in nearly 30 specialty programs.
Mount Lebanon Hospital Balamand University Medical Center was established in the spirit of uplifting the Lebanese healthcare system and advancing the university medical program training.
