The NICU has a capacity for 8-10 newborns. The unit provides technologically advanced medical and surgical systems to treat a large load of severely premature newborns, due to the “high risk pregnancy” and IVF sub-specialties of the physicians in the Obstetric & Gynecology Department. The success of this department is achieved thanks to a highly dedicated, trained academic, medical and paramedical team.
At MLH UMC, the PICU is the newest sub-department, inaugurated in 2021. It counts 4 beds with 1 positive pressure room, to care for Bone Marrow Transplantation patients.
The inpatient pediatric ward is fully furnished and holds a capacity of 16 beds. A unique team of physicians, nurses, and allied professionals are ready to treat your children the best way modern medicine allows. In addition, a specialized paramedical team with medical students and residents is ready to assist around the clock.
Where newborns spend most of their time being pampered and taken care of around the clock, easily accessible to parents. The monitoring, evaluation and comfort of your child is being taken care of by skilled midwives and nurses, with constant physician rounds.
