General Surgery

The Division of General Surgery at MLH, offer innovative surgical procedures, high technology and high quality patient care. Services include the evaluation and treatment of the full range of complex general surgery problems.

This Division consists of a team of specialist surgeons who treat a broad array of diseases and practice.

The team is highly trained in laparoscopic surgery. A big part of our activity is done by this technic: cholecystectomy, appendectomy, hiatal hernia, inguinal hernia, colectomy, bariatric surgery, adrenalectomy…

Faculty in this division are specifically trained in surgical oncology: Colorectal cancer, pancreatic cancer, hepatobiliary cancer, breast cancer, peritoneal cancer…

We were the first in Lebanon to develop hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) for Pseudomyxoma, Mesothelioma and peritoneal carcinomatosis.

In Breast cancer we are equiped for sentinel lymphnode biopsy by using the Radioisotop Technic.

The existence of a top qualified oncology department and a highly equipped radiology department with Pet CT, MRI… will help us perform a high and accurate quality of surgical oncology.

In our department we have expert surgeons in Bariatric Surgery , we provide state of the art minimally invasive surgery for Obesity . We are also able to treat complications of this surgery.
